Dear Christ, King of Peace, Prince of Compassion,
Be to all men a light forever,
To enlighten your minds and hearts daily.
Oh Christ, our true King,
May His mercy teach us the way as a compass.
May Christ be true to us
Who desire with all our heart to follow His teachings.
For His teachings are life everlasting,
Like pure water drawn from a well,
Washing the heart and mind from sins,
Both big and small, mortal and venial.
His teachings are like honey—
Sweet, pure, and gentle.
Work on having compassion daily
That with the attitude of Christ,
You might grow in the knowledge of God the beloved Father.
His teachings spread loving kindness over all the Earth,
But above all, His true teachings
Are a light to the nations.
Amen
