Altars of Love and Light

Dear Sweet Jesus,

Make our hearts into altars

Of love, life, and light.

Make our hearts shrines

Of mercy, kindness, and compassion.

Of joy, peace, patience, and kindness.

For true worship

Begins in the hearts of men.

Bless those whose hearts are pure.

May their hearts be altars

For the Most High God,

Make them compassionate and joyful,
Full of life and love.

Wash them clean

In the precious blood of Christ.

And when our hearts become shrines

For God our Father,

And altars for Christ,

May we enter into sacred union

With Christ our King,

Our Savior,

Our Healer,

And our Teacher.
