A Novena for Mary: Prayer for Day 1

Dear Mother Mary

Our joy, our hope, our light

We enshrine our hearts and minds to you

The most immaculate Mother of God

And to Jesus Christ your son

And God’s only Son

Fully putting our trust in Him

Because by loving Him and 

Opening our hearts to Him

We become better Christians and People

Amen

Sweetest Jesus

Teach us the true way to heaven

The way of compassion and kindness

Being faithful to your teachings

In every area and circumstance of our life

Our dear Mother in heaven

Hold us close to your heart

And put in our hearts the flame of your love

For the love of Jesus and Mary is everlasting

Amen

Love Your Neighbor as Yourself

Teach us oh Queen of Heaven

to be ever kind, loving, and joyful.

Oh sweet Mother Mary, our Queen

Teach us to be respectful of all people

No matter what they do

Or who they are, 

No matter whether 

They are older or younger

For respect is God's way...

Amen

A Spiritual Side to the 1st Commandment

You may think 

There is only a physical side

To the Ten Commandments,

But God has shown me that

There is also a spiritual side

To each commandment. 

For example, the 1st Commandment

says you shall have

No other gods before me.

So, let the Holy Spirit

guide you

along with your

Guardian Angel...

To be a light to all,

To develop a close relationship

with God and his Mother, Mary,

And remember to

have devotion
    in your heart

The Cross of Jesus

May the
Cross of
Jesus grace
the center
of our lives.
For the Cross of Jesus is our hope. The Cross of Jesus leads us
to Heaven. Let us become ever more devoted to him each day.
Consecrate your heart and mind to Jesus. When we are fully
devoted to
Jesus, fully
loving Him,
Jesus will be
the joy in our
hearts. And our
hearts enshrine
the temple of
God Almighty
Forever. Amen

Be Meek in All Things

Do what is right 

For God wants us 

To do the right thing

But don't show off 

For pride comes before a huge fall

Love Jesus, our true and most compassionate savior 

By not showing off your good deeds to others 

Even though some deeds are seen by others

This should not be the reason we do them

Be meek and humble in all you think, do, and say

Do not let pride enter your heart

Amen

The Ways of God

Joy be to all who walk in the light 

And holy teachings of Jesus, our Savior

As a lamp is filled with oil, make us your light

Lead us in your truth for all men

That we may have everlasting joy and salvation

Make our hearts and mind like a garden to grow holiness

Allow your most holy teachings to take root in our hearts and minds

Teaching us the ways of God
