A Prayer for Pope Francis

Oh Jesus, love and all kindness flow from your heart

Oh, Jesus, you are our teacher

Who teaches us kindness and compassion

Ever present in the most blessed sacrament of the alter

Let the light of the Eucharist shine on us forever

Bless our beloved Papa, Pope Francis

Take care of him on earth and in heaven

Amen

Our Dearly Beloved Heavenly Father

Jesus, Your name is the most precious on all the earth

So let your name be forever 

A light to all people of Jesus

Let your teachings be our guide forever

And point the way to God

Oh Jesus, sweet and gentle, hold us in your heart

Let your teachings be a lamp on our path 

Because it highlights your teachings 

Which are to be obeyed and carried out

With our whole heart, mind, and soul

This is because you, Oh Jesus

Are the best teacher to help us understand

What is right and wrong.

Your Light Forever Shines in Our Hearts

Oh, my gentle Jesus, 

Be to us all a light for all time 

Because you, oh Jesus, 

Want us to serve as a light

To people and nations 

Through our thoughts, words, and deeds

 

Oh sweet Jesus, just as a candle gives light to people in darkness,

So your teachings light our way to God, our Father

Help us, oh Jesus to repent with honest hearts 

Because honesty and repentance must work together 

In the life of a believer 

To make them stronger Christians.

The Heart of Jesus

Oh heart of Jesus, our light of all mankind

True love flows from your heart forever

Like a river of all virtue

Because your heart, oh, Jesus is filled 

With true compassion and everlasting kindness

Oh, heart of Jesus, you help us when we backslide into sin

Oh my Jesus, get us back on our spiritual feet

Ever trying to be the best Christians we can be

With the help of Jesus and his most holy 

And ever compassionate Mother Mary.

That Jesus may teach us to pray better to God our Father

That by prayer we may develop a deeper and closer relationship 

To the one true God our Father 

Through Jesus our most compassionate Savior 

Guiding us to heaven

Give us self-control, for when we love Christ, 

Our light will shine all the brighter

Because He is the way, the truth, and the life
