True Worship of God vs False Worship of God

Able also brought an offering, but from the firstborn animals of his herd, choice cuts of meat. Genesis 4:5  The offering of Able is an example of true worship of God our father. For the heavenly Father will accept true worship but reject worship which is false and meaningless.

God spoke to Moses, “Tell the Israelites that they are to set aside an offering for me. Receive the offering from everyone who is willing to give”. Exodus 25 1-2 Our giving should be done out compassion and a want to serve others.

You can’t worship two Gods at once. Loving one God you’ll end up hating the other. Adoration of one, feeds contempt for the other. You can’t worship both God and money Mathew 6:24  This means you must make a choice today, whether you will worship God or false idols of any kind.

If you are not trying to reform your life, your acts of worship are acts of sin. If we are trying to reform our lives, our worship will be different than sin, for we worship a mighty and holy God.

Sing to God a brand new song. Earth and everyone in it, sing to God. Worship God.  Psalm 96:1

Let us march into his presence singing praises, lifting the rafters with our hymns. And why because he is the high King over all the Gods. Psalm 95:1-2
This means we praise The Lord God Almighty in whatever we do, either in singing, dancing, or in good deeds.

They are full of formulas and programs and advice, peddling techniques and getting what they want from God. Mathew 6:12  Sometimes what we want, he thinks it’s not good for us. Programs that give us what we want from God, but don’t meet our needs, are false. God will meet our needs at all times, but he won’t give us what we want all the time.

We worship God by helping others whenever we can. So our action pleases God. Deeds of kindness are true worship.

Eli kept on getting reports on how his sons were ripping off the people.  Worship is not to be taken lightly, for we worship a holy God who will not rip us off.

They aren’t songs of victory and those aren't songs of defeat. I hear songs of people throwing a party. Exodus 32:19  God is not pleased with the worship of idols, for they take the place of God.

They prayed all morning long: "O Baal answer us", but nothing happened, not so much a whisper of breeze.1 Kings 18:26  This shows that false Gods have no power to answer prayer, but the one true God does.

Finally, false worship will destroy the worshiper setting him apart from a holy God. True worship is compassionate, loving and will reform the worshiper from the inside out. Making him grow closer to a loving and holy God.

Amen

A Life for God vs A Life for Yourself

God does not keep track of wrongdoings when we ask for forgiveness, but He gives us the chance to do right. If God kept records on wrongdoings, who would stand a chance? Psalms 130:3

If we are loyal to God we shall live as children of God, who do what is right in the Lord’s sight. Take your stand with God’s loyal community and live, or chase after phantoms of evil and die. Proverbs 11:19

The people who are loyal to God will be good to all God’s creatures, no matter what they look like. Good people are good to their animals. Proverbs 12:10

This means we need to treat others the way we want to be treated.  We must treat God with respect. Imagine a person who lives well, treating others fairly, and keeping good relationships. Ezekiel 18:5

Bulling for any reason is not the way of the lord, nor is stealing, nor is sin. Don’t bully anyone. The way of The Lord is just and right.

Finally, those who walk in the way of The Lord will do what is right, but those who walk in the way of sin do what is wrong.
